Well when you are a programmer, sitting and typing is a thing that you do A LOT. A lot can sometimes stretch to 4-5 hours a stretch.
If you are going to make a career out of programming, then this sitting at a stretch would be there for 40 years.
And so would the problems it can create……….
Back pain, neck pain, finger pain, lots of pains. These are occupational hazards of a programmer.
It is advisable to get out of your chair every 20 minutes you are sitting. Go walk on the gallery, on the grass (if it’s there), take some sunlight. Do something other than sitting on a seat typing.
You also have to take care of your body. Human body is designed to move around, to walk a lot, but when you are sitting 8 hours a day in your cubicle, sleeping 8 hours it makes a lot of parts useless or near uselessness. And they get the equivalent of rust.
So move, push your body so that they retain their lubrication.
